The short answer
Upload a scan, a photo or a screenshot of a floor plan and you get it back redrawn: clean walls, doors and windows, every room named with its area and size, and the overall measurements around the outside. Download it as a PNG to send, or as an SVG to print sharp at any size or open in a drawing app.
It reads the plan the same way our planner does when you upload one, so the measurements come from the drawing itself: the dimensions printed on it, or a scale bar. Sizes are only as good as the original, so check one wall you know before you rely on the rest.
How to use it
- 1
Upload the plan
A JPEG, PNG, WEBP, iPhone photo or PDF of one floor. A straight-on photo or a screenshot of an estate agent's plan both work.
- 2
Wait a few seconds
The plan is read and redrawn with room names, areas and dimensions. Switch between metric and feet and inches at any time.
- 3
Download and share
Save the PNG for messages and email, or the SVG for printing and editing. Want to see it furnished? Open it in 3D in the app.
Questions
How accurate are the measurements?
As accurate as the plan you upload. The sizes are read from the dimensions or scale printed on the drawing, and areas are worked out from the redrawn rooms. Estate agent plans are often marked as approximate, and a photo taken at an angle can stretch things, so measure one wall yourself and compare.
What kind of plan can I upload?
A drawing of one floor: a scan, a PDF from an estate agent or architect, a screenshot, or a photo taken straight on. Plans with printed dimensions or a scale bar give the best result. A hand sketch works if it has the main measurements written on it.
Is it really free? Do I need an account?
Yes, and no account. Each visitor gets a couple of redraws a day, and there's a daily total for everyone, because every redraw costs us an AI call. If it says the daily limit is reached, try again tomorrow.
PNG or SVG: which should I download?
PNG for sharing: it opens everywhere, from WhatsApp to email. SVG is a vector drawing: it stays sharp at any size when printed, and opens in Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma or a browser.
What happens to the file I upload?
It's sent to the AI model that reads it and isn't stored with us. The redrawn plan is made in your browser and only saved when you download it.
Can I edit the plan or add furniture?
Not on this page: it redraws, nothing more. In the app you can upload the same plan, walk through it in 3D, move walls and furnish it. A free account is enough to start.
Now try it in your real room
Upload your floor plan and UploadFloorplan turns it into a 3D room with its walls, doors and windows. Drag the furniture in and see what fits where.
