The short answer
Upload a floor plan, as an image, a PDF or a photo, and it turns into a 3D model you can look around and walk through, usually in under a minute. No account, no download, nothing to draw.
An AI model reads the drawing the way a person would: the walls and how thick they are, the doors and windows, the rooms and their names, and the scale from the dimensions written on the plan. The 3D model is built from that, with real walls, door and window openings and floors. It's the same reading UploadFloorplan uses when you start a design, so a clean plan with its measurements written on it gives the best result.
How to use it
- 1
Find your floor plan
A listing's plan, an architect's PDF, a screenshot or a photo of a paper plan all work. Plans with the measurements written on them come out most accurate.
- 2
Drop it in
Drop the file on the upload box, or tap it to choose one. The plan is read and built while you wait, usually in under a minute.
- 3
Look around
Drag to turn the model, switch to 2D for the plan from above, or walk through it. To furnish it and keep it, carry on in the app with a free account.
Questions
Is it really free, without signing up?
Yes. You can turn a couple of plans into 3D a day without an account. Reading a plan uses an AI model that costs us money per plan, so there's a small daily allowance per visitor and a daily total for everyone. When it's used up, the page says so and it works again the next day.
Which files work?
PNG, JPG, WEBP, PDF and iPhone photos (HEIC). A screenshot of a listing's floor plan works well. One floor per file: for a house with several floors, upload each floor's plan on its own.
How accurate is the 3D model?
It follows the plan: walls, doors, windows and rooms where the drawing puts them, sized from the measurements written on it. Without any measurements on the plan, sizes are estimated from typical door widths, so check one wall you know. Unusual drawings, hand sketches and very busy plans can come out simplified.
Do you keep my floor plan?
Not from this page. The plan is sent to the AI model to be read, the 3D model comes back to your browser, and nothing is saved to an account. To keep a design, carry on in the app and create a free account.
Can I add furniture and change things?
In the app, yes. Keep editing in the app and the same plan opens in the planner, where you can place furniture from the catalog, change floors and wall colours, measure, and save or share it. A free account is enough.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Take a photo of a paper plan or pick a screenshot, and look around the model with one finger. Full screen gives you more room, and walking through works with on-screen touch controls.
Now try it in your real room
Upload your floor plan and UploadFloorplan turns it into a 3D room with its walls, doors and windows. Drag the furniture in and see what fits where.
